My Story, and Why I Started Ashwol Co.

Hi, I’m Grace, and I want to share with you why Ashwol Co. exists.

A few months ago, my life changed in a way I could never have imagined. I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) A rare brain disease where the symptoms mimic a brain tumor without one being present. The pain was agonizing. Every day I lived with unbearable pressure in my head, blurred vision, and pounding headaches that made even simple moments feel impossible.

When I first heard the words, I felt myself slipping into a very dark place. Not just as me, but as a mother and a wife. I wondered how I would keep showing up for my family, if I could still be the person they needed me to be. The weight of that fear was crushing.

Eventually, the pain became so severe that I had to have brain surgery. A catheter and valve were placed in my brain to help ease the pressure. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced, but also a turning point. That surgery gave me the chance to move forward, and in the middle of recovery, I realized I needed to find a new outlet, something that gave me hope and purpose.

Through it all, my husband was my anchor. He’s a disabled military veteran who has fought his own battles with strength, and after leaving the service, he found healing and purpose in streaming. He became a full-time creator, building a community that supports him and gives him something to pour his heart into. Watching his resilience and the way he connects with others inspired me deeply. It reminded me that even in the hardest seasons of life, there is still space for creativity, connection, and growth.

That’s where Ashwol Co. was born.

This company started as my outlet. A way to create even when my body felt like it was against me. But it quickly grew into something bigger: a space for creators to bring their vision to life, to build meaningful products for their communities, and to feel the same spark of hope that I did when I began this journey.

Ashwol Co. is more than a business to me. It’s my reminder that light can come out of the darkest moments. It’s my way of showing my husband, my family, and every creator out there that your story matters and your community deserves to share in it.

Thank you for being here, for supporting this dream, and for believing in what we’re building together.

With love,
Grace
